Working for a company called Caretech. They own around 200 residential care homes around the UK. That means lots of driving from one corner of the country to another.

However due to my leg injury, I've been restricted to doing just office based work. Answering calls/emails, providing tech support etc.

Oh and my office is TIE-NEE! :o

Sound like quite a nice placement! Although it sounds a little like consultancy, what do you do when you go to the different sites etc, im quite interested given im stuck in an office all day everyday:!:
Did you get it through the placement office and are you looking to go back there once your done :?:

It's primary networking. I'm responsible for the up keep of the network. Making sure everything is running smoothly. I'll visit a site to either install a PC + Broadband or if something needs fixing. This can range from simple things like printers, to emails not coming through and even viruses and lost passwords.

Put it this way, every day is different.

I didn't get it via the placement office. I found them through a family member. The company had never done a placement before, but it sounds like they're going to continue next year.

Am I looking forward to going back where? The company or University?

going back to work there after your final year!

Sounds alot like what I do just I do it all from my desk! How come you have to travel to do it? Dont get get me wrong it sounds wicked like your the only one that has a placement that actually sounds like something I'd like to do, I'm doing Cisco and planning on maybe specialising in Network and and was hoping to been a technical consultant which sounds similar to your role. However did the travelling tire you out?
